GT Radial Launches into Long Beach!
Formula Drift is now entering its 19th year. It came back strong at Long Beach with a sold-out show and what looked like more than the usual 10,000 or so fans in the bleachers.
Six drivers will be competing on GT Radial Champiro SX2 RS tires for the eight rounds of the 2022 Formula DRIFT season which kicks off on April 1-2 in Long Beach, CA. The competition tires, which helped six drivers finish in the top 12 in points standing last year, were designed and are being manufactured at the company’s Richburg, SC, plant.
“With our successes last year and the fact that the GT Radial competition tire is made with great pride at our South Carolina plant, we have a great story to tell,” said GT Radial USA motorsports manager Mike Meeiem. “We look forward to entertaining our dealer customers, plant team members and fans at the Formula DRIFT events.”
