Formula Drift: Orlando 2021 Formula Drift Orlando Weekend
Orlando Speed World hosted Round Two of the 2021 Formula DRIFT PRO Championship and the opening round of the new PROSPEC Championship (formerly PRO2). This gave the capacity crowd its first opportunity to witness the new weekend format, which allows both PRO and PROSPEC drivers to qualify on Friday and compete on Saturday. With PROSPEC running in the middle of the day and PRO in the afternoon, both Championships have equal exposure to fans and the popular, free-to-view Formula DRIFT livestream.
Travis Reeder’s driving this weekend was in the top tier of drivers in his BMW! He had a great Top 32 victory against Dylan Hughes and then got the unlucky draw of Chelsea DeNofa in Top 16 who was just unstoppable. Travis Reeder put up an alright fight in the battle and I think if he can keep up this intensity for the season, he could easily be a top 10 driver in points at the end of the season.
