CUSTOMIZED FORD AND JEEP VEHICLES ON GT RADIAL TIRES WILL TURN SOME HEADS AT MAJOR CONSUMER EVENTS IN 2014
Ford Focus ST on 19-inch Rotiform wheels wrapped in GT Radial Champiro HPY tires
GT Radial high performance and light truck tires will be showcased at a number of high-profile automotive enthusiast events in 2014 on two very eye-catching, highly-customized vehicles — a 2013 Ford Focus ST and 2000 Jeep TJ.
The 2013 Ford Focus ST, which made its debut in the Ford booth at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show Nov. 3-8 in Vegas, is ready for Targa Trophy road rallies and the Southern California sun. Its makeover is courtesy of fuelculture (www.fuelculture.com) who teamed up with Infinite Auto Design to give this car a custom harness bar, carbon fiber exterior pieces and a custom paint job from Axalta. The additional horsepower under the hood comes from a number of modifications from Banks Power, COBB Tuning and Ford Racing.
This very special Focus ST rides on 19-inch Rotiform wheels wrapped in GT Radial Champiro HPY tires (size 235/35ZR19 91Y XL). The ultra-high performance Champiro HPY uses an advanced asymmetrical tread pattern and full silica tread compound for outstanding cornering ability in wet and dry conditions.
The Focus ST will be competing in all four Targa Trophy events in 2014 and will participate with fuelculture at several popular Southern California auto events, including the LA Auto Show and Fabulous Fords.
Jeep TJ fitted with GT Radial Adventuro M/T tires
The 2000 Jeep TJ, fitted with GT Radial Adventuro M/T tires (size 33×12.50R15 LT 108Q), was also an attention grabber at the SEMA show. This fuelculture build features a variety of upgrades and modifications, including a lift kit, weatherproof audio system and increased storage space, to make this Jeep the perfect platform for outdoor adventures of all kinds.
The Adventuro M/T max traction tire for light trucks and SUVs features the most aggressive tread pattern in the GT Radial family; perfect for conquering rough, harsh terrain in dirt, mud or snow.
The GT Radial-fitted Jeep will make appearances at several Jeep enthusiast events in 2014 including the Jeep Jamboree in Parker, AZ, (April) and the Big Bear Jeep Jamboree (May) in Big Bear, CA. It will also be featured in a fuelculture video and blog detailing every step of the build.
“The GT Radial team is excited about the upcoming consumer events these vehicles will be featured at in 2014. The venues provide additional brand building opportunities and awareness to attending enthusiasts about the GT Radial brand and our comprehensive product line-up,” said Joe Anzelmo, senior manager of marketing, advertising and promotions for GITI Tire USA, which markets and sells GT Radial tires in the U.S.
